The illustrations show 3 mm on the back of 3080. As 2mm is not thick enough with no memory modules at back. Check the instructions again. 3080 uses the bag with 3mm pads.
Shouldn't it be 3mm at back for 3080? Since the 3090 has memory on back so 2mm is the right thickness for the backplate on 3090. No memory on back of 3080 should be using 3mm??
Temps are decent. Mine with 2x360 rads and noctua and corsair ll120 fans are max 55c gpu, memory 60c. And I am using the 500w bios.
I would recommend changing the silient wing 3s out for something better for static pressure. Silent wings are great for air flow, but not as good on radiators...
Thanks soo much for the update. Best part is all the alphacool products I wanted for my custom loop have just come back in stock for next day delivery in UK. Now I just need to pull the trigger.
I was very close in trying to purchase another card with available waterblocks. But really didn't want to get rid of this one as it out performs most on the market. Been holding on with the hopes you guys come through and make a water block for this card. Greatly appreciate the good news. Now I...
Yeh I had a g12 with my 1080ti, never got hotter than 56c in normal gaming situations. And 58 or so in benchmarking.
I don't like looking at my temps hit 72-75c. That is with the 520watt bios though
@V-L-D you may want to reduce 2nd fan controller down from 100% as it is pushing the fans beyond their recommended speed of 2900 rpm. I had that on mine too, not sure if it's fine to run them at 3300+ I maybe wrong lol. But yeh they are rated at 2900. So I run mine max at 90% on 2nd fan...
Out of the box with the OC version with limits set to max, no other OC it hits 470 watts. It's only risky if you keep it at 520 watts for too long while its getting warm, but again the internal limits won't let it go past 83c default and 91c on max power limits. That said water block would be...
Oh I miss read which is the parent company. That is even more surprising for me as sapphire cards for AMD are usually the better ones and no GPU blocks made for them either. Glad to hear there is still hope for a water block for this card. Mines boosting to 2125mhz out of the box with the OC...
