30mm Thick Rad + 6 Fans vs 45mm Thick Rad + 3 Fans

Hi all.

Question.

What would bring better cooling performance?

1 - 360mm Radiator - 30mm thick with 6 fans on push / pull config
2 - 360mm Radiator - 45mm thick with 3 Fans

Consider that all fans in both cases will be good quality Arctic or AC Rise models.
What do you think would be better?

At max. Fan Speed Option 2 would probably yield better cooling performance.
If you want a silent setup and want to run with as low rpm as possible option 1 would probably be better.

Disclaimer: Just my guess, I didn't test these scenarios. But running push pull on my cheap Cooler Master AIO, with fans that are not really ideal for Radiators, I could lower my fan speeds considerably.

360 ST30 with 6 fans and fans at less than 800rpm will perform better than a 360 XT with 3 fans at the same speed.
If you run the 360 XT45 with 3 fans and over 1200rpm, it will perform better than the 360ST30 with 6 fans.

And of course, our Rise fans are better than the Artic. Honestly... how else can I answer this question? ;-) Just take a look at tests. Igorslab has tested both on radiators. Just google them.
