Alphacool Eisblock Acryl Temperatures

Hi Guys!

I just installed my new Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acryl for my Radeon 5700 XT Evoke, when gaming, the temperature are quicky rising to 70°c which is quite hot so I have to make the fans run pretty which is causing a lot of noise.

I wondered if this kind of temperature are normal or you think I have a problem somewhere in my setup?

My initial goal with watercooling was to reduce noise so i'm kind of dissapointed right now.

For the cooling I have a corsair xd3 pump/ reservoir, a 240mm rad with 2 120mm fans.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

any advice from the alphacool team?

I think about re-doing the build to check if thermal paste and pads are correctly applied ? Do you think it can have a big impact ?
Thanks !

You can first check whether you have confused IN and OUT on the GPU cooler. Is one hose warmer than the other? Is the radiator getting warm? At what speed are the fans rotating?

Thanks for the answer.
I think I’m ok with the in and out on the GPU block as you can see on the picture.

the radiator is getting very warm.

fans on the radiator are running at around 1200 rpm and pump fans at around 2500 rpm.

also what I find strange is that the gpu temperature raise from around 40 to 60c in 1 second as soon as I start gaming

40-60°C in 1 second is normal. Set the fans to maximum speed and then check the temperatures. Then lower the speed by about 50% and compare the results. If the radiator gets very warm, it looks more like an airflow problem to me. But 70° is quite a lot for the card and the setup.
