Hi there,

is it advisable to use the RTX 3080/3090 together with the Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta 120mm Radiator ?

If you want to run a silent system, you should have about 120mm (x30mm) per 75W.
For non silent its per 100W.
A 3080 has about 300W... So you should use a 360mm x 30mm, or at least a 240mm x45mm!?
You can combine length and thickness as you want :)

Currently I use the Icewolf cooler with an 120mm radiator, 2 ventilators for push and pull and it runs fine, at max. 55 degree centigrade at 2 x 4K resolution, high/ultimate details.
The 1080Ti I have currently installed uses a maximum of 250W.

So probably the Icewolf max be sufficent using the bigger radiator?

I would not think so. The water will need some time to transfer the heat. But the 120mm monsta, should be like an 240mm st30. If you don't want to OC and you are okay with little higher Temps... It could be possible.

Now I'm thinking about a "heat tunnel" with 2x 120mm xt45 and 3x vents pushing the air through it...

BTW. My 1080ti is at 2000Mhz+ and running at 45 degrees. But this was with an 360 and 240mm radiator in the custom loop.

A Monsta radiator makes only sense with Push&Pull and High Speed fans with minimum 2000rpm. Otherwise, it performs worse than thinner radiators due to the higher air resistance. I would not use a 120 mm Monsta to cool down over 300W. Thats not really possible.

Thank you, so a 120mm radiator with two Ventilators may be sufficent compared with the Icewolf to cool down a non overclocked RTX 3080?

A 3080 has aroud 350W. Thats a loooot. But if you lower the voltage a bit the card will have less than 300W with only loosing 3-5% performance. There are a few worklogs about that in the internet. Than it could be possible. But to be honest, i personaly would never use only a 120mm radiator with a RTX 3080 in anyway. The Eiswolf 2 AIO for RTX 3080/3090 cards will have a 360 mm radiator because we think a 240 mm radiator is not good enough.
