D5 Pump Defect

Hello this morning I woke up to a unfortunate situation. My VPP655 PWM single started to make some awful racket inside my pumpres and spread a black powder (most likely Stainless Dust) in my entire loop in a matter of seconds.
I took apart the loop and I when i removed the pump i found it to be packed with stainless dust and a severe scoring on the cup and impeller magnetic area. Rotating by hand i can feel that the impeller scraping.
This pump was bought in January and this is far from my usual experience of having D5 pumps to last more than 5 years.

A defective D5..... is not something you see very often. But it does happen. All D5 pumps, including the VPP655, are made by Xylem or better known as Laing.
You will simply have to start an RMA from the place where you bought it.
