Hello,

I've a custom loop with 2080 super/ Rizen 7 3700x with XPXAurora edge/ eisball with D5 / a crossflox xt45 360 all on 16/13 soft tubing.
My water and gpu T° are close to 30¨in idle, but my CPU is near 50° :/

I noticed the same difference before with an I7 3770.

So today i opened up my XPXAurora edge to clean it, but saw nothing particular.

Are those kind of temp are normal or is there something wrong with my XPXAurora edge ?

Best regards,

It is impossible to get much lower temperatures with a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU because of 7nm. 7nm with 65W TDP is heavier to cool a CPU with 14nm and 125W TDP because you have more heat per mm².

Hello, thanks for your answer,

I've also done some research and found that : https://forum.alphacool.com/threads/ryzen-3700x-temps.169/
And also some temp issue with rizen 7 3700 could come from PBO and bad voltage configuration.

About the issue due to die's position, should a XPX aurora pro can do the thing ? ( i noticed that ther was https://www.aquatuning.fr/refroidis...hacool-eisblock-xpx-pro-am4-montage-schrauben ) and i've a spare XPX Aurora Pro due to an error from my side 4 month ago.

Well i think it could work as this block has got much bigger cooling surface then the other blocks. I do not know how it would perform with a 3700X but there is a very good review of Igor with the 2990 WX.

As you can see the temperatures are better than the normal XPX block. Especially under load.
