Can I add a GPU cooler with the Eisbaer Aurora Solo? Or do I need an additional pump?

Hello,
Two questions. One - I currently have a loop consisting of the Alphacool Eisbaer_Aurora_(Solo, 12960), Alphacool_NexXxoS_HPE-30_Full_Copper_360mm_Radiator (14377), the Cape Corp Coolplex HF Metall 25 reservoir (15270 )and the Alphacool_Eisfluegel_flow_indicator_G1-4_square-acetal (17350) all connected with 13/10 EPDM tubing. All are running well. I wish to add my 5070 Ti GPU via the CORE cooler 10266_Alphacool_Core_Geforce_RTX_5080-5070Ti_TUF_Gaming_with_Backplate to the loop. Will the pump in the Aurora Solo be sufficient with the addition of the GPU cooler or do I need a bigger/second pump?
Two - I have the pump head from a previous AIO (11939_Alphacool_Eisblock_Aurora_Acryl_GPX-N_RTX_3090-3080_TUF_with_Backplate) - can I retrofit this to the CORE GPU 5080-5070Ti block to have two DC-LT2 pumps in the system?

Hi,

Regarding the first question:

It should just about still work. However, I would strongly recommend getting a proper reservoir with a powerful pump. Then you won’t have to worry about this kind of thing anymore when making further upgrades over the next few years. In addition, the flow rate would be significantly higher, which would greatly benefit the cooling performance here.

Regarding the second question:

11939 is only a cooler, not an AIO. You probably mean the Eiswolf variant of it? That would be article number 14419.

Either way, theoretically yes. But here as well, I would say: buy a reservoir with a proper pump. Then you have peace of mind and never have to think about such chaotic setups again.

Thanks Eddy,
Sounds good. I do really like the Coolplex HF reservoir because it allows for a drain and also a port for a temperature probe. But I would probably replace the Eisbaer Aurora with something like 12948 Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge - Acryl Black Digital RGB (I have a socket 1200) and add a pump 13306 Alphacool VPP Apex Pump - G1/4 inner thread including Eisdecke D5 - Acryl V.3 to the loop. Is that pump much louder than the DC-LT2 pumps?

If you run the Apex pump at full power, it is a little louder. However, with your loop, you will only need to run it at around 30% PWM. At that speed, it will not be audible.
