Hello there. I paid 13.90 EUR for that pad and 3.90 shipping. You get a small box/package and a miniscule graphene pad. I was like, "this is it?".
I can confirm that the assembly is tricky compared to thermal paste.
I placed the GPU PCB on it's back facing the core upwards using two folding...
@juanpcm Don't overthink that torque advise.
I'm taking it with a grain of salt since I've tried different torques. Alphacool suggested 1nm and the 4 screws were really snug around the core.
Basically, with the Kryosheet, you fixate the 4 screws around the core pretty snug, but stop before...
I have no clue how to GPU batches were distributed by AMD to the cardbuilders.
But I have found out that the GCD was placed lower than the MCDs on the XFX cards.
A precision depth meter would be necessary to confirm this.
It's also quite visible after removing the waterblock. The paste is...
Quick & Dirty Solution
It's been quite some time, but coming here to post my final update.
Back in June I talked about a Kryosheet and it has been on my desk ever since.

Today I made some...
Hello Rydeon. It looks like your card and waterblock run fine. The 7900xt(x) disperses a vast amount of heat and according to your screenshot there's no reason to feel troubled.
We are mainly discussing hitting the 105/110°C temperature wall on stock (and even below) speeds.
Enjoy your setup.

Hard to tell who you are quoting here, since many people posted their complaints.
I'm trying to find the throughline in your post, but I cannot spot it, so I'll split some things up here for my own sake.
I think you own a reference card since you are talking about "+5% PL and...
How are you guys holding up?
Final try will be a thermal grizzly pad within the first weeks of September. Had a busy summer and I hope all of you had a great time.
Below is a shot from a not-so-technical scene in Cyberpunk. The card flies with seconds towards its limitations.
Seen the card...
You'll be fine. It's their best consumer block!
Just make sure to use a small GPU support beneath it or mount it vertically since it's ridiculously heavy.
Good catch.
Also the picture coming from Vanzin's end shows the screenshot was taken within the first minute.
So I replicated their test and got the same results in the first minute.
As you said, 2085Mhz is the maximum clock FurMark touches during my test!
The thing is.. these AMD cards run on...
Hello dear community.
My apologies for not reporting back to those in need after receiving my card back.
Prior my next post I'll share a few details about my watercooled rig.
CPU: 7800x3d with S-Tier waterblock
2 Rads, 1x 45mm and 1x 60mm
Corsair ML120 fans
GPU vertically mounted for better...
@IcyStorm
Hello fellow watercooler
It is, for your best benefit, wise to create a separate thread in the support sub-forum.
Make sure your thread is well-thought-out, filled with screenshots and pictures of your build.
Don't forget to add some information about your setup.
Good luck.
Vanzin...
I had direct contact with Alphacool's testing lab after they received my card and waterblock.
They have told me they could not replicate my problem with all the benchmarks they used. The highest hotspot temperature achieved was 58°C on their end.
I'm astonished, but the test is still ongoing and...
Dear direstorm
Hope to see some pictures and results from your modification. I tried to interpret "tape around the gcd", but my imagination is limited to understand that. :)
I had amazing results with liquid metal on my intel 8700K delid back in the days.
My card and block was sent to...
I think we can both agree on same thing leading us back to the first post of this thread. A GPU does not have an IHS, but I do know what you meant back there.(y)
It does help to create central pressure on the PCB before fixing the 4 screws around the core, but does not fix the high delta...
Interesting idea, but I'm sorry to counter this idea.
Let me explain why.
Imprint 1mm dark grey pads original aircooler
Let's take a look to the 1mm thermal pads on the original XFX heatsink first.
In my opinion this imprint on the 1mm pads look exeptionally good. (dark grey ones)

Dear Alphacool and readers
The first results are in with the larger custom pad on the backplate.
I have repasted the die with Kryonaut and applied new pads because the older ones were a bit torn apart from opening up a few times.
All the screws were thightened down whilst creating downward...
Just a quick update for the people interested in the results.
I'm still awaiting the pads. It's most likely sent in an untracked envelope, but luckily we are neighboring countries.
The results will be posted ASAP after receiving.
Greetings.

Have received the shipment. Will try...
