Alphacool ES sTR5 compatibility

Hello,
I wanted to ask if CPU waterblocks Alphacool ES Jet or Stream are compatible with motherboards with sTR5 socket (AMD Threadripper 7000/9000 series)
I wanted to buy Eisbaer Pro AIO but Threadrippers are bigger than Ryzens in AM4/AM5 and I'm worried about the temps if the cooler will be smaller.

Thanks for your help

Hi,
the Alphacool ES Jet is not designed for the sTR5/SP6 socket but for SP5. The SP5 socket is almost twice the size of sTR5, which is used for regular Threadripper CPUs, and nearly six times larger than an AM4/AM5 CPU. This cooler is intended for specialized server CPUs.
For Threadripper, the Eisbaer Pro is ideal, as it features a large cooling base for sTR5. Alternatively, the XPX Pro coolers are suitable options for DIY setups. The Eisbaer Pro and XPX Pro DIY coolers cover the entire sTR5 CPU. This might be confusing, as many people use these coolers on AM5 systems, where the cooling base simply extends far beyond the size of the CPU.
