Eiswolf 2 on EVGA 3090 burning smell?

Hi,

I have an eiswolf 2 installed on my EVGA 3090 FTW3 for many months now without issue. I just noticed the past few days that the green LED with letters "Geforce RTX" has started to not work or faintly flicker. Strangely, when GPU is under game load, the LED is working fine?
Now the real issue is that I have started to smell a slight burning smell coming from the exhaust vent, and I'm quite positive it's from the pump of the eiswolf 2 block. Temperatures are fine, I'm getting 70-75C under full load (3440x1440 ultra heaven benchmark), and those temps haven't gotten worse or changed over time. The only new addition over the past couple days is this smell.

Is this normal? It sounds like something is starting to burn out on this thing lol.

Hi,

this is definitively not normal. Please check where it is coming from and when it is coming from our product don´t use it anymore and write an mail to info@alphacool.com regarding an RMA complain.
