Eiswolf Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx hotspot temps.

Hello all,
I recently got around to installing the Eiswolf AIO kit on my Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx and have noticed that my hotspot temps are tremendously higher than they were with the nitro+ cooler installed.
I have repasted this thing with AC- Apex, with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme with the same results .
Have mounted it vertically, the standard way.
Push orientation, pull orientation, push&pull with different fan models on the rad.
Have tried different tightening patterns on the screws.
I have done everything I can think of.
Gpu temps during gaming max around 55-58c but the hotspot temp can reach 90c~
With the stock cooling my hotspots were never above 77-78c
Any guidance on getting these hotspot temps down would be great.
Is there anywhere that I can find what size thermal pads should be used where ? I'm wondering if maybe I was sent the wrong size pads for this block.

Ok so I found the installation manual pdf. The 1.0mm thermal pads used on the DIE side of the gpu look a lot thicker than 1mm . The 3mm backplate side looks fine. But I am wondering if I was truly sent 1mm thermal pads or if these pads should be .5mm thick instead of 1mm ? I am waiting for more thermal paste to arrive and I will tear the card down again and take better pics. But it does look like one side is getting smashed harder than the other side possibly.

Hi,

could you please send us some photos from the imprints on your thermal pads and Paste so that we can check it? Which Hotspot sensor does have such high temperatures?

Once my new tubes of thermal paste arrive, I can tear the card down and provide you the pictures. When I get a chance to run some games later today I will grab some screenshots of the temps.

I have had to shrink the pics to the point of them being all but useless.

Hi
Thanks for the photos. As I can see you have a uneven imprint like other customers. This can simply be fixed when you are mounting the water block again and tighten the screws correctly. First the Screws around the GPU DIE clockwise handtight ( 1-1,5nm). then start with the other screws with the same pressure. Make also sure, that you tighten all screws identical to avoid a bending on the PCB. A Torgue screwdriver can help with it.

That is how the tightening patterns was performed. Pcb is straight. It's the block not sitting straight.

Hi,

Could you please send us a photo, where we can check that the water block is bend?

I have some honeywell PTM7950 on the way today. So once I pull the card out to swap pastes again due to the hotspot heat creeping issue, I will take some pictures and post them.

The best I could do. Took the card apart again to add the PTM7950
Verified torque values of 1.5nm ,I even tried 1nm and everything is warped.

Is there way I can be Sent a full screw set for this Card/block? Even using the correct Philips bits have caused issues with the heads of these screw.
I have already replaced the thermal pads, and have repasted again. But the it's take it's toll on the screws.
Or is there a link to which I can buy a screw set for my block? Or can someone send me on? Or point me in the direction of what sizes these are so I can buy more.
