hi, i had purchased the AIO with pump for this gpu a few years ago and when using the supplied thermal pads the gpu would throttle and not post, after tweaking the thicknesses of the pads i got it to post and havent changed anything since then,
onyl recently (the past few months and due to an issue with my cpu cooler dying) ive startign using a persistent hardware monitor for temps and the like, and ive noticed that whenever i launch a game, regardless of intensity the GPU hit 92C, the card drops the clock speed, and then stays at 92C. currently my idle temps as i write this are at 54C, 1200MHz and a load of 28% (speed and load are an average over one minute) i have gelid extreme thermal pads installed
i feel like theres gotta be an issue with the pad thickness maybe? i have good airflow and was just really clueless on where to go from here,
this was my first time with a custom waterblock on a GPU
