I have thought about building a beautiful water cooled computer for a long time. I am a software developer so I sit next to my PC all day. Until now I have preferred laptops due to their general silence, but I need more beef to be able to run local LLMs and do some AI/ML training for work. So the time has come where I can justify putting some money into a custom build with the main goal to make it quiet under load. I am considering an external cooler to make it totally quite, but that will have to be a phase 2 project.
Here are what I think will be the main components of my build:
A few concrete questions:

Here are what I think will be the main components of my build:
- Cabinet: https://www.proshop.no/Kabinett/Antec-C8-Curve-Wood-Kabinett/3407677
- GPU: Gainward RTX 4090 Phantom GS
- 4x memory dimms
- 2x m.2 drives
- Motherboard: MAG Z890 TOMAHAWK WIFI
A few concrete questions:
- I really like the clean look of hard tubes, but is that too difficult for a first build?
- If I should go for hard tubes, what do you recommend as a "starter kit" for bending these?
- I have no idea what to buy with regards to nozzles, connectors, fittings etc. I would like to have a solid, idiot proof suggestion if that is possible
- Do I need a flow and a temp sensor? What do you recommend?
- I found these things called quick release couplings which I thought might be good if I should need to disconnect the reservoar/distributor panel from the rest of the tubes going all around without having to drain the whole system. Is that what they are for? Do you recommend using this?
