Hello,

I am looking at buying a 4090 FE and would like to build a custom water loop for the GPU with the option to expand the cooling in the future to the CPU and GPU upgrades in the future. This will be my first time building a water cooled system.

My case is the Corsair 5000D and would like to have the Alphacool Core Distro Plate 360 Left with VPP Apex pump vertically side mounted so I can see it through the glass side panel.

I will also be vertically side mounting the 4090 GPU.

This is the shopping basket I have: https://shop.alphacool.com/AtsdCartSave/load/key/a8b5c0901ecc51e9fc04a1b8763a0cc4

I'm not sure on what radiator will be the correct one that will fit the Alphacool Core Distro Plate 360 Left with VPP Apex pump and also the Corsair 5000D case.

I am also unsure on the correct quick connection fittings, hoses, and any other accessories I will need to complete the build.

Any help and advice to complete my shopping basket would be really appreciated. :)

Thank you! đź‘Ť

HI,

you will need also a Radiator. For a RTX4090 i would recommend to use at least a ST30 360mm
Hi Vanzin,

Thank you for this. I was wondering which one to get so I'm grateful for the assistance.

How does one monitor and control temperature, flow speed, fan speed. ect? It is all done via mother board in the bios?

I was thinking about getting one of these and adding it to the loop or if my mother board has water pump header is it not necessary?. https://shop.alphacool.com/shop/con...und-temperatursensor-highflow-mit-tachosignal

Also, when I build the loop will I need this accessory? https://shop.alphacool.com/shop/mod.../17482-alphacool-leak-testing-tool-incl.-pump

I guess all I need now is hoses and connectors? Anything else?

Also what do you think of the loop so far? Is it a good idea to get the distro plate for future expandability?
