Loop Advice - Modular Build-out MSI 4070 ti / Hyte Y70

Hi All,

I hope this message finds you all well.

I am looking for advice for a modular build-out - I do not want to buy all at once, rather learn by adding components to a distro plate modularly. I would like to start with my GPU, a MSI 4070 ti Ventus and a distro block that fits well into the Hyte Y70 case just purchased. Here are my components -
- Hyte Y70 Case
- CableMods.com Custom Cables for cleanliness
- Intel 11900K - currently running with an NZXT Kraken AIO
- Will be swapping the AIO after the GPU
- 4 SLOT DDR4 RAM
- Radeon RTX 6600 - this will be used for a dual-booting OSX and would like to add it to the build as the last module / component.

A few questions -
1. What is ideal for radiators and fans considering this build?
2. Is it ideal to move to AMD or Intel latest gen before the build? Looking for a long-term stable system that does not require new components for a few years - if not more.
3. Any disadvantages to begin a modular build and scale up?

I am hoping to get my hands on the Core 2 components, when they are available and the 4070 ti fits my daily needs for Windows and light gaming. My main goal is to keep the components running cool over a long period of time without the need to burn through electricity because of fans and heatsinks that eat energy.

Final goals.
- A single system running Proxmox
- Windows 11 - Native passthrough for the 4070 ti.
- OSX - Native passthrough for the RTX, supported by OSX.

Any help, advice, or general ideas for components and a modular install will be a great help and truly appreciated. FYI, I would like to focus on the 4070 ti and a distro and the Hyte Y70 to begin. I suspect I need tooling, a heat gun, bending tools, et al. Please advise and thank you for any comments - I appreciate the community here and am looking forward to become a part of the forum group.

Take care and be well.

Hi,
block blast
For your modular build with an MSI 4070 Ti and a Hyte Y70 case, consider a 360mm radiator for optimal cooling, combined with a high static pressure fan for increased airflow. Upgrading to the latest AMD or Intel generation may provide better performance and longevity, but ensure compatibility with your components. Hope this helps.
