I was thinking this GPU is amazing with following OC I was getting 109 MH/S for only 155 Watts, I tought Gainward set a 3090 wrong cheap inside it...But finally I ve readen many review where clients claim RTX 3080 Phantom from Gainward surpass all stats...Ampere 3080 is supposed to reach 98MH/s for 220-230 watts, where is the mistake?
Well happy land ended last week in the morning I got up my 3rd Rig with Gainward Gpu was shut down I go & check what's up try to see if something wrong happend, I still dont know which product has failed but cable was burned, My Gainward 1 X 8 pin hopefully only burned, and my Dark Power pro 12 1500w 2 PCIE connection burned.
I cleaned everything my PSU is fine, cable I change it, and my GPU is down in hashing to 5 MH/S not really easelly sometimes lower & temperatutre over 100 degrees wih HiveOS warns me in my Hive Androidapp Rig is on fire, but as I m just near, there wasnt any, it was only my Gainward GPU who's since is troothling and not mining really.
I checked at all Thermal pad, not one was set well anymore it was real mess, I cleaned everything with isopropilic alcool and my last chance is I'm getting best termal pad (bought 1mm,1.5mm,2mm,2.5mm and 3mm )+ thermal pasta grizzly I really hope will recover/ save this GPU life...Moreover I bought today alphacoool backplate and front liquid cooling...Somebody told me it can be also the fuse if it is GPU is dead?Someone can inform me please?
