Hello,

I've purchased a RX 9070 XT Hellhound + Pure (14782) waterblock for my Sapphire PULSE AMD Radeon RX 9070. No special issues mounting the block but I have a doubt concerning the rear bracket (IO-shield).
The manual doest not specify what washer is to be used underneath the backplate in order to get a correct spacing (here are two : "M" 2 mm thick and "N" 1 mm thick. The manual does not specify which to use with a 9070 Pulse but I went for M (2 mm) as this is indicated for 9070 XT's from Sapphire.
The problem is, the washer is too thick, the backplate is clearly bent when using it. Washer "N", however, seem to fit just fine. Is there something I'm missing or is it an error in the manual ? (I've used the Alphacool IO-shield as indicated for Sapphire cards but the original one seems to be the same thicknes if not more).

Thanks

Hello, thanks, yes I've checked online manual, is the same as printed version that came with the block. The problem is that it does not mention specificaly 9070 Pulse but I would assume that It's the same washer as for 9070 XT. I've used the 2 mm washer as indicated but it is too thick ! 1 mm (for Hellhound/Reaper) works fine. Moreover, since the backplate and IO-bracket are the same for other Sapphire cards (Pure and Pulse), I would guess that 2 mm won't work on these cards either... I would assume a simple error with the manual, but the question is, what the 2 mm washer is for, since it can't be used with any card...
