Should I clean new 6800 xt waterblock?

I recently purchased a new 6800 xt waterblock and i was wondering if the recommendation is to flush it before use?
 
I would always rinse everything once with distilled water to completely remove dust and other small particles. They are cleaned before packing, but something can still get in during packing.
 
Thanks I will do a flush before assembly.
I don't have an extra pump, but I can use a syringe to flush with, I assume that is fine?
 
Yes, that is fine. Put only a bit destilled water inside, shake it, done. Easy.
