Something like oil on Eiszapfen HF quick release connector kit

Hi.
I found Something like oil in 17370 Eiszapfen HF quick release connector kit G3/8 inner thread with reducing nipple G1/4 - deep black.
Is this a necessary fluid in a design? (lubrication or water proof etc)
or should be removed?

Hi,

thats normal, but here its a bit too much oil. Clean it a bit. The oil comes from the production and should keep the O-rings slightly moist. If they get too dry, the o-rings become porous. A little oil is not bad. But please also make sure to NOT use the quick release fasteners in dry condition, i.e. outside a water circuit. Otherwise the O-rings will break.

I have test this with other components, and... This must be leak, I think.
Do I need to replace this to solve this problem ?
