Dear Alphacool Support Team,
I recently purchased the Eisbecher Aurora D5 Acetal/Glass – 250 mm with VPP Apex reservoir/pump combo.
In the documentation, you recommend using only clear coolants from your own production (CKC, Tec Protect, Eiswasser Crystal – no UV), or pure distilled/osmosis water.
I would like to better understand the technical reasoning behind this restriction, particularly in relation to Alphacool’s own UV-reactive coolant.
Specifically, I am referring to Alphacool Eiswasser Crystal Green UV (I've already bought from your store), which is an official Alphacool premixed coolant designed for PC water-cooling systems.
Could you please clarify whether the “no UV” recommendation is based on:

Could you please clarify whether the “no UV” recommendation is based on:
- Long-term interaction with acetal components in the pump top or housing,
- Effects on O-rings or pump internals,
- Potential dye separation or residue formation over extended use,
- Interaction with UV lighting (photodegradation),
- Or primarily a warranty and liability policy, even when using Alphacool-branded UV coolant?
