Waterblock for ASUS Radeon RX 6750 XT

I have older ROG Strix Radeon RX 6750 XT OC
Is it possible to use this water block? Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acrylic GPX-A Radeon RX 6700XT TUF/Rog Strix with Backplate: link
I think that with maybe a small modification it is possible to use this one, because the difference between the Asus Strix RX 6700XT and the Asus Strix RX 6750XT is in the slightly different placement of the memory chips and one more MOSFET. The mounting holes and the position of the graphics chip seem to be the same.
The only problem I see is in the left part of the power cascade. Where one of the coils can collide with the water block.

The images of the PCBs do look very similar, that’s true. However, I can’t guarantee compatibility — not even with a modification. One component in particular concerns me, the one shown in the picture. I can’t tell whether that component requires active cooling, but there’s no way to modify the cooler in a way that would properly cool it.


I also have no idea how you plan to modify the cooler so that it cools the voltage regulator as well. I wouldn’t risk it.

Thank for response. But there's no component on your picture, only some tin on unused pads on RX6700.
I made the visualization using photos from PCBs and the installation manual of the water block.

A place where it will probably be necessary to remove some material:

If there was too much space above the mosfet, the one extra on the 6750, I would solve it by adding a piece of copper onto the block body. The manual for the water block does not clearly indicate whether any elevation or standoff exists above the MOSFETs. Material removal could be solved by filing or milling.

You can try that. We once had to do something similar for a batch of coolers — but that was a long time ago. It worked well back then. You just need to work very precisely. I would align everything with the existing ridge of the cooler and simply extend it with a suitable piece. However, you will likely need to glue it on using thermal adhesive. Keep in mind that you will need approximately 0.5 mm of additional space for that — don’t forget this.
Please do not drill into the copper or weld anything onto it. That would destroy the chrome plating.
In the picture above, there is a component that only exists on the 6700 XT. What you see there is just thermal paste. It might be a controller chip — I have no idea what its exact function is. Sometimes these chips also need cooling, but in this case, I simply don’t know.
