Horizontal hanging position of Pump/Res combination

Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to be have the Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora D5 Acetal/Glass - 250mm incl. Alphacool VPP Apex (https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/...5-acetal/glass-250mm-incl.-alphacool-vpp-apex) mounted on the top radiator. This would make my loop significantly easier to make.
Is this possible or might this cause issues with the pump? note the top rad would also act like an addition to the reservoir so I expect the reservoir to be always topped up.

I also noted that aluminium is listed as a component for the pump/res, but I assume this would not be in contact with the loop but would instead be mounting related, correct?

Hi,

basically you can mount the reservoir like this. The only important thing is that the reservoir must be almost completely filled so that the pump cannot suck in any air. There must be very little air left at the top of the tube. Perhaps 0.5 to a maximum of 1 cm.

We only use aluminum for the outer appearance. Aluminum does not come into contact with the water in any of our products. We only use copper, brass, acetal, nylon, glass and acrylic. So only unproblematic materials. You don't have to worry about that.

Just wanted to make sure there would not be any problem regarding the mounting nor the pump not functioning properly in that orientation.
