2017 version of Alphacool Eisbaer 360 - Upgrade to 1700 socket.

Hey all, just looking for some quick upgrade advice.

I am in the process of upgrading my PC to an Intel socket 1700 Motherboard and CPU, replacing my old the LGA 1151.

Am I assuming correctly that I can still use my existing Alphacool Eisbaer 360 that I purchased way back in 2017, but just need to change the backplate with Apex Backplate XPX/Eisbaer LGA 1700 Article no.: 13072 or Alphacool Backplate Article no.: 13064, ?

HI,

the mountingbracket is the normal Intel version. The only thing you have to check is if you have a version with the AM4 bracket and the 2mm washers. The 2mm Washers will be needed for the socket 1700. In older versions the 2mm washers were only included in the AMD mounting kit.

Many thanks. I think I have the original kit somewhere, and I remember it came with both Intel and AMD support. But if not I am assuming the 2mm washers can be picked up anywhere?

I have ordered the Apex backplate, so now just waiting on delivery to see if my rebuild is going to get slightly more complicated than I planned.

HI,

sure you can use every M4 2mm washer. If you don´t have it anymore, you should be able to purchase some at a local store.
