About radiators and 3080 ti waterblock compatibility

Hello. Didn't know there was an Alphacool forum. Cool place. I have some questions.

1- https://www.alphacool.com/shop/gpu-...x-n-rtx-3090/3080-gaming/eagle-with-backplate is this compatible with Gigabyte 3080 ti eagle ? (not oc version)

Compatibility list:
RTX 3080 TI

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC 12G, 2x HDMI, 2x DP ( GV-N308TGAMING OC-12GD)

RTX 3080

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Eagle OC 10G, 2x HDMI, 3x DP (GV-N3080EAGLE OC-10GD)
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC 10G, 2x HDMI, 3x DP (GV-N3080GAMING OC-10GD)
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Turbo 10G, 2x HDMI, 2x DP (GV-N3080 TURBO-10GD)

RTX 3090

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3090 Eagle OC 24G 2x HDMI, 3x DP (GV-N3090EAGLE OC-24GD)
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming OC 24G, 2x HDMI, 3x DP (GV-N3090GAMING OC-24GD)

I'm not sure if compatibility list isn't updated or if it doesn't work with the gpu.

2- What are the differences between ST25, ST30 and XT45 apart from the obvious specs ? Which one is best for very low rpm 600-800 ? and which one has the least restriction. Differences between ST30 v1 and v2 ? What is the design philosophy ? How much capacity increase going from ST25 or ST30 ?

3- I live in Turkey and ordering from you guys big pain in the ass, stressful process because of shipping, custom process, inflated currency (everything is way more expensive to us here). How is return/rma/quality control process ? Am i gonna pay the return shipping cost if something is wrong with the items ?

4- With gpu waterblocks, i was always unlucky and quite tired of this. Barrow waterblock killed my gpu back in the day. Phanteks waterblocks(yes the replacement block did the same after few months) leaking from the front screws (thank god they didn't kill my 2080). I'm very scared at this point. How reliable your gpu waterblocks ? How many years expected operation time ? My loops are always clean and simple, functionality focused loops and no user errors. Waterblock just shouldn't leak.

Hi,

1. We never checked the PCB layout from the non OC version. So really not sure if this block fits. In ~95% all non OC editions are using the same PCB, but until we have no pictures from the PCB we are not 100% sure.

2. ST25, ST30 means the thickness of a radiator. ST25 = 25 thick, ST30 = 30mm thick, XT45 = 45mm thick and so on. The restriction is nearly the same. V.2 is a bit more restrictive because of the new IN and OUT threads for the flat stop plugs. V.2 has chambers with corners. The capacity of the ST25 and ST30 are the same. Main different is, that the fan possiion is higher over the fins so you have same effect like a fan shroud. This increases the performance through a better distribution of the air

3. If you buy from us directy, you have to pay the shipping costs back to us. And if we sent the parts back, you have also to pay the custom duties. Thats the reason why you always should buy the stuff in a shop in your country. Because than they can care about everything and they will get a replacement for the exchanged goods when they exchange something for you. Easier. But as i know, we have no reseller in turkey. Last we worked with was a desaster.

4. Ha ha.... to be honest.... do you really like to trust my words about our quality if i am working for Alphacool? Of course i will say we have the best cooler on the market with the best quality. Sorry.... check other comments about us, our support and our new blocks. Makes really no sense to ask something like that an emloyee of the company. ;-)

Thanks for the reply. Of course you can't say bad thing about your own products but i thought i can get some insights about it (gpu waterblock leaks) why it happens and what is the manufacturers expectations etc. I wasn't trying to get assurance from you i was just enthusiastic about it.

Disaster reseller made me laugh ahaha. I can understand. Can you share more info about it ? EKWB have reseller here and they ask around 26 euro(250TL and turkish lira is dead btw) for the ek cryofuel clear coolant which is originally 7.48 in EK's website lmao. Living here is not fun. That rma process is extremely discouraging and risky for me. Wish you guys have proper reseller here or selling through official amazon.

I've checked the VSG reviews on techpowerup. Your rads really nice. I see Alphacool Eisbrecher Pro XT45 in their charts. Liquid flow restriction and low rpm fan performance looks superb. Is this rad different than current nexxxos xt45 ? I wonder if i can squeeze two of them in my Define R6 case.

A radiator can leak for a number of reasons. In the case of the connections, it is incorrect installation or incorrect construction. Coolers usually leak when the acrylic cracks. This usually happens when the screws are tightened too much. Or if the acrylic is treated with cleaning agents that contain alcohol. Alcohol or certain cleaning agents are deadly for acrylic. You should always avoid them. The wrong liquids can also cause damage. It is also possible that certain minimum material thicknesses have not been observed. Or if there is too much pressure in the circuit. But too much pressure is only possible with dual pump systems, because every D5 or DDC pump makes a maximum of 0.55 bar and all products are tested for a minimum of 0.8 bar pressure. At least with us.
If you do everything right, the probability of a cooler leaking is actually minimal to impossible. The cases we know of are almost always due to incorrect handling. It is extremely rare that a cooler has a defect from the start. This accounts for perhaps 0.01% of all coolers sold.

I can't tell you exactly what happened back then. I'm not in the sales business. I only heard in passing that there were some problems. Also because of the costs, customs etc.! That's why your prices are so damn high. We even have Turkish employees here whose families still live in Turkey. They also tell us that prices have gone extremely high.

We stopped selling over Amazon directly. Makes no sense for us, because we want that our reseller are selling it over Amazon. If we did the same, we would be competing with our resellers. That would only cause trouble between our reselles and us. Its not so easy to as customers often think.

Eisbrecher Pro has inside a normal NexXxoS XT45 280mm radiator. Only some ports are missing but that has no influence on the performance. But to be honest, it really depends on the fans you like to use. If you like silent fans with low rpm, a ST30 radaitor is better than a XT45. With low speed fans and Push&Pull, the XT45 is better. With High speed fans a UT60 would be fine, better to use the UT60 with Push&Pull. So i hope you understand what i want to say here.

Thanks for the great reply. Yeah i understand although in techpowerup review 45mm thick rad surprisingly performed better than thinner rads at low rpm. It's surprising result.

The waterblock leakage, in my case seems like a design flaw.

The loop is clean. Coolant is clear. However the leak is weird, looks like a thermal paste lol. I use zmt tubing and clear coolant.
This failure happened twice and i saw the same failure mentioned in amazon comments as well. Looks like Phanteks f'ed it up.

Eisbrecher Pro performce here only better because inside the housing is no place where the air can escape. It is pushed completely through the radiator. But let's be honest, the differences are not particularly great overall.
The water came out from under the plate? If so, it looks to me like an O-ring problem or they screwed the plate screws in too tight. Then the plexi cracks. But Phanteks produces the coolers at contract manufacturers. They don't produce anything themselves.

Yeah absolutely.

I'm lucky it didn't kill my gpu or psu. Coolant was all over my psu but i don't know why it's in weird white thermal paste like shape.

I found Palit 3080 ti gamerock oc at the same price of basic eagle. It says it's out of stock but i bought it so it should ship when it's get back to stock. I'm surprised i was able to catch it before bots lol. I see you guys have a waterblock for this 100% compatible. That's nice.
