Hi,
I purchased the Alphacool Core 120mm Reservoir VPP/D5 (Article no.: 14590, EAN: 4250197145909) and I wanted to use the side drain port. I tried to install both an Alphacool HF 13/10 screw-on nozzle G1/4 and an Alphacool HF 13/10 screw-on nozzle 90° rotatable G1/4, but with both fittings, my loop failed to hold pressure. As soon as I replaced them with the stop plug, everything worked perfectly. Do you know why this happens? Is it a known issue, or is my specific unit defective?
Thank you.

You need a fitting with a maximum diameter of 17 mm. Otherwise, you will not be able to screw it in at that position. The HF fittings are too large in diameter, so the fitting cannot be screwed in properly. In that case, the O-ring cannot seal correctly. You should look for a 10 or 20 mm extension with a maximum diameter of 17 mm, or a smaller tube fitting with a maximum diameter of 17 mm.

Does Alphacool sell them?

We do have fittings with a diameter below 17 mm, but they are all fittings for tubing smaller than 13/10. Unfortunately, we do not have anything suitable among the extensions. The one series that would have fit is unfortunately no longer available.
