Alphacool Core 200 Aurora

I have this Reservoir and Pump from Alphacool Eissturm Hurricane Copper 45 2x120
Since I bought on 2019 I have to change plexi tube 2 times, and Laing DDC310 every 6-12 month, because stucks at starts. Change it 3-4 times I can't remember.

For my new custom loop I want to change the DDC310 for VPP655 PWM because I think it is better. But, I need to change only the pump or I have to change the hole system (Eissturm reservoir)

I think that Alphacool Core 200 Aurora D5/VPP reservoir acetal/acrylic with VPP655 PWM pump, could be a option. ( I want Core 2 Tube, but its To be Announced)


Can I bought only the pump and use it on my old loop, or I have to buy D5/VPP reservoir and pump?

That’s very unusual, having to replace the tube twice already, and also that the pump stopped working after such a short time. That’s definitely not normal. What coolant are you using? Either you’ve had incredibly bad luck, or something is being done incorrectly in your setup.

Aside from that, you would need to buy a new reservoir together with the pump. The rest doesn’t matter here. But keep in mind: a D5/Apex pump won’t fit into a DDC mount. Of course, you can continue using your fittings, cooler, and all the other components.

Yes, I have to replace the plexi tube at 2022, but the new one is working since then.
The coolant is EK-CryoFuel Navy Blue Premix I haven't problems with that, I also use Alphacool Pure Water + Mayhems Blue in the past, But I cleaned the system some times and its working well, any bubbles, and good temperature... except the DDC310.

Ok, thanks I will bought the reservoir and pump with VPP655 pump.

I’m still surprised, though. DDC and D5 pumps normally run for 5–10 years without any issues. They really shouldn’t fail that early. But well, nothing you can do about it, sometimes you just have terribly bad luck.
