Hi Team,

First time purchasing, potentially, from Alphacool so I am not familiar with the procedures and couldn't find a straight answer on Reddit.

I am looking to purchase the block in subject, Article no.: 14845 for the Manufacturer code: ZT-B50710J2-10P

The website shows a 4-5 weeks delivery, is that accurate or would be way more? Also I assume "Delivery" meaning door to door in 5 weeks? And one last question, in this case payment is taken at shipping?

Hi,

you’ve chosen the right cooler for your card. The delivery times shown give a rough estimate of when the item will arrive at our main warehouse. Since we ship worldwide, we can’t provide a more specific timeline, as delivery times vary greatly from country to country. Depending on the destination, it can take anywhere from 2–3 days up to 4 weeks. This also depends on how long a package might be held at customs if it’s going to a country outside the EU.
Please also take the listed delivery times for GPU coolers with caution. At the moment, most shipments are sold out even before they arrive. It’s hard to say exactly when you would receive a cooler, but delivery times of around 6 weeks until the product reaches our main warehouse are not unrealistic for this model.

Europe but not EU with generally no issues at custom, so that would be in a worse case 6 weeks plus 3-4 days delivery to the UK.

In this case is payment taken upon order or shipping?, i.e. if the order is delayed even longer than 6 weeks and one wants to cancel is that a thing?

The 4-5 weeks estimate is okay, 6 acceptable, anything over it seems a bit steep having to wait two months.

The order is only processed once payment has been received. This means you pay first and then have to wait. However, you can cancel at any time, as long as the item hasn’t already shipped. Just keep in mind that the refund might take a few days. I believe we process cancellations and refunds once or twice a week, which depends a bit on the overall workload — and right now it’s quite high.

Unfortunately, some customers have even had to wait 3 months for their cooler. Since almost all competitors have either not released any coolers or only a very limited number of models, we’ve been completely caught off guard by the demand. It’s well known that one competitor is struggling, but for all of them to be in this situation was unexpected. That’s why we’re currently having a hard time keeping up. It’s a bit crazy this year.

EDIT. As a tip, I’d currently recommend choosing DHL as the shipping service when it comes to customs clearance. However, please note that delivery might take a bit longer with them. Just something to keep in mind.

I ordered this last month and was hoping to get it this week. But after seeing the 5-6 days message, I'm now greeted with 6-7 weeks....

I can't use the GPU as its 3 slot, so Im just looking at my boxed up GPU.. Whats going on?

Get ready to wait at least twice the estimated time stated in the shop. I have been waiting 3 months for my order (which is still "in process" by the way) and seen the listing go from 5 weeks to a couple of days, back to 2 - 3 weeks and then up to 5 - 6 weeks, etc. Even information from AC employees that pre-orders will be covered by their next shipment was incorrect (straight up lie?).
The impression I am left with is that AC have very poor control of their inventory, quantity of items produced/shipped in a given month, delivery times (to their warehouse), and amount of product required for their pre-orders. Their listed delivery times seems completely arbitrary and pulled from thin air.
If you are set on buying a waterblock regardless of delivery time then you should order as soon as possible. If you need a waterblock soon.. well I guess look for alternatives.
