Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora 240 CPU AIO + NexXxos ST30 280mm with AMD Ryzen 9 7950X temperatures

Hello,

I have Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora 240 CPU AIO and NexXxos ST30 280mm with extra fans. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with standard setup.

When running Cinebench R23 thermal throttling activates. Water in the cooling system seems to be around 40C. Is this normal? What can be done to avoid throttling?

I have checked the system couple times and installed the cooler to the CPU again with new thermal paste.

HI,

unfortunately such temperatures can be normal, depending on your silicon lottery luck.

Can you tell me the RPM of your pump? Is the pump running always with 12V? WHich RPM do the fans on your radiators have? 40°C Water temperaute is far to high, and is showing that either the radiators don´t get enough fresh air or the RPM is to low. WHich case are you using and where did you mount the radiators?

The RPM for the AIO pump stays at average of 2640 RPM and is always running at 12V.

The CPU fans are running at 1770 RPM
2x ARCTIC P14 Slim PWM PST (88.35 m³/h, 1.55 mmH2O)
2x ARCTIC P12 PWM PST ( 95.7 m³/h, 2.20 mmH2O)

The case is Fractal Design North and the radiators are 240 on the top and 280 on the front:

Flow from the CPU goes first to the front and then to the top. Front radiator fans are setup to push and top radiator fans are setup for pulling air out of the case.

Here are also couple thermal images of the setup. Ambient temperature is around 26C and the temperature at the return water is around 30C from the top radiator.
