Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acrylic GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 XC3 Ultra Gaming with Backplate fitting on EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 12GB version?

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to confirm compatibility before purchasing the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acrylic GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 XC3 Ultra Gaming with Backplate.

My specific GPU is the EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 12GB (12G-P5-4865-KL).

From what I can see, Alphacool’s compatibility list only explicitly mentions EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 models with 10GB VRAM, not the 12GB version. At the same time, the same water block is also listed as compatible with RTX 3080 Ti models, which also come with 12GB VRAM.

This is where I’m a bit confused:

• The PCB layout of the 3080 XC3 10GB and 12GB variants may or may not differ
• The 3080 Ti is listed as compatible, even though it also uses 12GB VRAM
• There is no explicit statement that the 3080 XC3 12GB is not compatible - They are not listed anywhere on Alphacool's website unfortunately

From my understanding, the cooling block compatibility is based on PCB design rather than GPU core/VRAM configuration, so I’m unsure whether the 12GB XC3 variant shares the same PCB as the 10GB model or the 3080 Ti. I may be wrong here though so please feel free to correct me!

Could anyone confirm whether this Alphacool block is compatible with the EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 12GB (12G-P5-4865-KL), or if there are any known differences in PCB layout that would prevent compatibility?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated before I place an order.
