Hi everyone - I know this question has probably been asked before but I cant seem to find anything specifically on this. I purchased a 4090 ES waterblock (https://www.aquatuning.com/en/water...orce-rtx-4090-reference-design-with-backplate), and have just received my Inno3d X3 OC 4090 (https://www.inno3d.com/en/PRODUCT_INNO3D_GEFORCE_RTX_4090_X3_OC) only to find out that the board design looks like the one that is not compatible (the bottom on in this pic - https://gpu.alphacool.com/gpu/extra/29_0.jpg). This is very frustrating as this is impossible to tell when ordering online!
Does anyone know why this pcb layout is not compatible and does anyone know if there is any way to modify the block or card slightly to make the waterblock fit or is my only option to return it and try and find a card with the right board layout? I understand that modifying the block or card would void my warranty (as does probably taking off the stock cooler!), I am just wondering if it is just a small foul or something more fundamental.
I have also emailed Alphacool but thought the community may know, as I only have 7 days to return the current card.
Thanks for any insight people can provide!
