Alphacool NexXxoS GPX - Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti M03 - Will it fit the Geforce 1660 OC

Hi,

I have a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 OC 6G, and I really would love to watercool it with a GPU block.

The PCB looks very much the same as the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 TI OC 6G, for which the M03 block (link) is made.

Does anyone know if it might fit the 1660 (non TI) also?

Thx,

Sven

Sorry, no idea. We never had this card here. Maybe you can make a picture of the PCB? Than we can check if it could fit.

Hello Eddy. Thanks for your reply and for taking your time for this!

I took a picture of the PCB with a ruler for reference. If needed, I can remove the heatsinks (there’s a slightly modded EK VGA block on the card for the moment).

edit: yes I am aware the thermal compound application in that pic is really crappy :) but it was a struggle to get the block on as the mounting holes did not line up correctly.

We think, the cooler will fit on your card. Not 100% sure, because we can't physically test it, but from the pics we dont see anything that could be a problem. But please be careful and check if we oversaw something.

Thank you so much for the effort!

I'll take my chances and will let you know if worked (in appr. 1-3 workdays according to the site :))

The block arrived today and I can confirm that it fits the card ?
Thanks again for the fast support!

I'm very happy with it (will need to wait for my 90° fittings to arrive to able to put the glass back on my case :D).
Initially the temperatures jumped to 80° under load but after checking a re-applying the block all is fine (I think the block wasn't push hard enough on the GPU die).

As for temperatures, here's a small comparisson:

After 1 hour of Furmark GPU stress test @2650*1440 with an overclock of +165 on the Core clock and +850 on the Memory

Stock cooler (fans fixed at 100%)

Idle temp: 38° (fans 30%)
Max temp: 81°
Max clock: 1980 MHz

EK VGA Supremacy block (slightly modded as the mounting holes were a bit too large)

Idle temp: 34°
Max temp: 68°
Max clock: 2030 MHz

Alphacool NexXxos GPX

Idle temp: 32°
Max temp: 59°
Max clock: 2085MHz

Thanks for the results.... looking very good in compare to the EK block. I am a bit suprised that there is such a big different. But well.... its working well... enjoy it and have a nice weekend.
