Hello,
I would like to purchase an Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 1260mm SuperNova with 9 x 140mm fans, but I have a few questions I would like to clarify before placing my order.
  1. Is there enough space in the central row to route the fan cables? I'm concerned that cable management might be difficult or problematic.
  2. I would also like to purchase an Alphacool Panama HF38 Pass-Through PCIE Slot Cover. On the side that is mounted inside the case, can I directly connect an Alphacool Eiszapfen 16/10mm fitting (29886), or is an adapter required?
  3. On the outside of the case, I would like to connect a quick disconnect directly to the Panama HF38. However, I'm not sure which model I should choose, considering that I would like to connect it directly to the Panama bracket and then to an Alphacool Eiszapfen 16/10mm fitting (29886).
There are several options available, such as Alphacool Article No. 17368, 17561, or 17282. Which one would you recommend? Are any additional adapters required?
I hope you can help me clarify these points so I can complete my order correctly.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hi,

To answer your questions:

  1. Fan cables: Routing the cables will be tricky because the fans sit right next to each other. I’d look for fans with open frames. With a bit of effort, you should be able to run the cables between them, though it’ll still be a tight fit.
  2. Internal fittings: You can screw the fittings directly into the Panama HF38 on the inside of the case. You don’t need an adapter. We also offer a newer ES slot cover (part no. 5100099) with a cable pass-through into the case and slightly better coolant flow than the Panama. View the ES slot cover
  3. External quick disconnects: The ones you picked are our largest and heaviest options. I’d go with the BLH1A series. They’re smaller, lighter, and offer virtually no flow restriction. To screw them directly into either slot cover, choose the versions with a standard male thread. The bulkhead versions are designed for a different type of mounting.
You’ll need one 13876 set and one 13857 set. Screw the male and female quick-disconnect halves from one set directly into the slot cover. The other set provides the matching halves, each with a standard G1/4″ thread for attaching a fitting such as your Eiszapfen 16/10 mm fittings.
Have fun with the build!

Hi Eddy,
Thank you for your advice! I just have one question regarding the 13857 and 13876 sets.
Are you suggesting that I purchase both sets and mix the components together, so that one half of the 13857 set connects:

to the corresponding half of the 13876 set:

Thanks again for your help!

That’s right. This way, you can screw the part with the male thread directly onto the panel and use the counterpart with a G1/4" female thread to attach any fitting you like — in your case, the 16/10mm fitting.
