Alphacool Rise Flat reservoir speedometer connection

I just bought a Alphacool Rise flat reservoir with ddc pump for my Ram dedicated water loop. Come with a 4 pin connection for power and that I can connect from PSU with a dedicated PSU cable I have
My question it’s regarding the second cable to control the speed who use a connection named “3pin moltex but looks small, similar with a pwm fan connection but smaller. I don’t see any place to connect that on motherboard, i have a Aquacomputer Splity 9 and Hubby 7 but I see only 4 pins connector on this too.
What can I do, i really way to control the speed on that pump, there is an adapter or another solution?

That small connector is for the aRGB LEDs (Digital RGB LEDs). Included in the package is an adapter that goes from this small 3-pin connector to the standard aRGB connector. This can be connected to the aRGB controller on all current motherboards. Your two Aquacomputer products are only for controlling PWM fans and cannot be used for controlling aRGB LEDs. Please do not try to connect the cable there, as it would destroy the LEDs. They operate at 5V.

There are various aRGB 5V controllers on the market if your motherboard does not offer a connection. A simpler controller would be the one with the product number 15360.

It’s not the led definitely because the led Streep comes separate, can be attached or not and has a normal reb connection. From pump i have two separate cables one it’s a bit more tick,a molten 4 pin but only with two pins available in contact plug and other this 3 pin cable, they name moltex but look more like a pwm connection, smaller and with 3 pins. They mentioned in manual (see photo please) that one it’s power and one it’s speedometer… i really want to control speed and find a safe solution to connect this cable. It just bought, not a old model, i don’t see why they use that strange cable

Ahh... you are talking about the 3-Pin Fan connector. That is only for reading out the rpm signal. You can also put it on a 4-Pin PWM Header. Sorry for the missunderstanding.

Ok, that’s what i want to be sure, i can’t test it yet but i really hope that i can control the speed with the cable. It’s a small loop with 360 radiator and one block for ram and i don’t want it to run more fast than should be

No, you can only read out the rpm, you will be not able to controll the pump since this DDC pump is not a PWM Version. This pump isn't intended to be speed-controlled, as it's already a throttled version of the standard DDC pumps.

Thanks, in that case was a huge mistake buying this, beginner mistake. And I paid a lot… i should buy a D5 same like i did for the main loop. The overall quality of this Alphacool reservoir it’s close to average Aliexpres, first and last time i buy this brand.
