AM5 performance Kit

When installing the AM5 performance kit is it ok to mount it directly to the motherboard? It appears to be metal and there is no insulation or plastic washers between the bracket and the motherboard. The bracket touches the board when mounted and sits outside the stock bracket hole area. I'm worried about it shorting or damaging the board tracers when tightening it.

That is correct. We do not use washers to ensure optimum contact pressure. So you don't have to worry about short circuits. That won't happen. There are no contacts in this area that could cause a short circuit.
