Astral 5090 waterblock, install problem or typical results?

Memory1 gets strangely hot compared to everything else 58.5C vs 43.9C for Memory2 under only ~500W game load. Does anyone know exactly where the Memory1 sensor is? Given that the ASUS app is reporting something slightly different.

Also, the board seems to have a lot of thermal mass, taking minutes to reach and fall back from high temperature, even though the water temperature only moves a small amount? Maybe that's normal, but just surprised by that. In the screenshot below, each block should be about 15 seconds, so about 2 minutes to come back to near-idle temps, while water temp doesn't move much (EC_TEMP1)

Which specific thermal pads are on here, if I have to get replacements after I open it up, hopefully from Amazon? Also I'm current using Duronaut on the GPU but might switch to a PTM if I have to repaste it.

Hi, did you take out all the 13 pcs transport spacer before install the block?

I have the same Astral RTX5090 and just done the Alphacool GPU block on it yesterday, in manual it just said discard 4pcs of transport spacer which i think is misleading, as the picture shown all the screw hole are free from spacer, so i take out all. Anyway, i just done the block + GPU sandwich this morning, haven't completed the loop yet, will let you know probably by tonight or tomorrow for the result.

Well I thought I did, I think it would have been very obvious if the spacer was still there.

How long did you run it for? Takes several minutes for temps to start leveling out for me. What are you getting for memory temps vs water temp?

Took it apart, not really seeing a problem here except for the excessive thermal paste?
