Core water block compatibility issue

I got a core water block 10293 for my gigabyte wind force 5090 oc. The alpha cool water block is missing areas where a lot of components should be touching the block with thermal compound. This can’t be acceptable right?

Hi @AdamBruce

That is actually correct, not all components on the card need to be actively cooled. Air coolers usually have more thermal pads attached to stabilize the cooler itself, but a massive cooler doesn't require that.
