Does Alphacool plan waterblock for AMD AI PRO R9700?

Currently, the cooler we have in development covers the Sapphire and ASRock variants. The PCBs are basically identical. There is no AMD NDA for the layouts. AMD simply does not distribute samples, which is why websites do not show teardowns.

First of all: Thank you that you're developing a cooler which fits the Sapphire and ASRock variants. Unfortunately, I own the PowerColor variant (I think that's the last one that's not yet mentioned in this thread). Is there any information known about the PowerColor version? Is it compatible with the cooler you have in development?

If it would be helpful, I can provide some pictures of my card if you have some clear instructions on what you need to know. In addition, I'm happy to ship my card to you so you can analyze it yourself. I live in the Netherlands, so shipping to Germany is quick and not that expensive.

If you can take pictures of the entire PCB from the top, we can at least check whether the cooler is likely to be compatible. We currently do not have any information about the PowerColor variant.

That way, we could at least tell you whether it would be worth waiting for it.

We have already been able to check some pictures of the Asus card. Unfortunately, they were not ideal for being 100% certain, but it looked like the layout was only minimally different from the ASRock and Sapphire versions. The differences seem to be so small that the cooler would most likely fit.

Sorry for the delayed response; I needed some time to take the card apart. Attached are two pictures showing both the top and bottom of the PCB of the PowerColor R9700. I hope they are clear enough. I also have high-resolution versions available, though I would need to upload them to an external site due to the forum's file size limit. I have also taken some close-up shots, so please let me know if you need them, and I will send them over.

Thank you for the pictures. They should be sufficient.
I have already forwarded them to our development team so they can check whether the cooler would fit.

I'd just like to register my interest for an R9700 water block - I've a Sapphire model I'd like to watercool and will possibly pick up more if I can do so.

First time here. Found this thread from Google and I'm registering to say I will absolutely purchase a Powercolor cooler

I am also very interested in upgrading my cooling solution for my 2x Radeon AI Pro 9700. Sadly I have the Gigabyte version. I hope the PCB is compatible. I will try to find some time to dismantle one of them to make pictures of the PCB and post them here.

Cheers ;)

Greetings

I made some pictures of the Gigabyte version.

Note the difference in fan connector area and the length of the PCB with an additional mounting hole.
