Does Alphacool plan waterblock for AMD AI PRO R9700?

To keep it brief and as a final update:

The release date has not yet been set. The water blocks are already in stock, but our marketing team still has around 200 individual products to launch this year. This particular water block is not a top priority, mainly because almost everything is considered a top priority.

There will be no further information about the water block here, so you’ll have to wait for the official release. ;-)
Hi , which official channel will announce the product launch? Thank you very much.

Seems I managed to order one through the shop now. Pity there doesn't seem to be any active backplate cooling so i sourced some heatsinks to slap on the back.
The in-out ports are pretty close together, so people will likely want to check their fittings. If i am reading the diagram correctly, fittings need to be 20mm diameter or under.

Edit: spelling

Eddy - Does the rear aluminium backplate conduct heat from the rear GDDR6 chips into the water-cooled copper block, or does it cool those chips passively?

@goodman-b
Gigabyte decided to use its own, extended PCB layout. An existing cooler can’t simply be adapted to it; it needs a dedicated cooler. As things stand, we won’t be releasing one.

Nice! May I ask if the power connector is mounted onto the block or if it is “loose”, I could not make this out from the install manual.

The connector is "loose". It's at the end of roughly 8cm long cables that extend past the actual board length. I don't see how this could have been solved differently without making the whole block needlessly huge/more expensive. I ended up wrapping the cable in one of these "braided cable conduits" so looks a bit nicer.

Thanks for sharing. Can you please share some pictures?

Thanks for the info! I was expecting a solution involving the backplate like this model:

Could be the cable was simply too long.
