Eiswolf 240gpx pro cleaning

Hello everyone,

I am running an Eiswolf gpx 240 pro m11 for 4 years and a half now and it turned out getting higher temps without finding any solution, that’s why i need you!

-thermal pads+thermal paste replaced
-refill done
-no dust remaining after cleaning
-pump working 100% (no rattling, full speed)
-air flow optimized

My 2080ti still reaches 85 full charge.
I have seen on YT someone having to clean the inside of his Eiswolf 2 but can I do the same here?

Any ideas?
Thx!

Hi,
can you make a picture of the cooler, so i can see the inside? And a picture of the finns in the middle of the cooler.
You can clean the Eiswolf, there are extra liquids for rinsing.
What kind of thermal pads did you use? Heat conducting pads must have a certain degree of hardness. Many customers buy replacement pads that are too hard, which means that the cooler no longer sits on the GPU with optimum contact pressure. Please tell me the exact name of the pads or a link, even if they are not from us, which I assume they are.

What do you mean by finns in the middle?
And i am not at home for now but with a picture i can’t show you the inside, it’s all black so you won’t see anything. Or could you explain what picture you need🙂 (this is a GPX pro version)?
I chose soft pads, regarding all that I have read about the necessary softness.
(https://amzn.eu/d/1FpMzNF), sorry you were right, bought them on Amazon…

Sorry, I thought you had the last version with acrylic cooler and not the GPX, my mistake.
The pads are ok, although Shore 00 60 is close to the limit. Shore 00 70-80 is what we usually use, but that won't be the problem here. I simply assume that the cooling fins in the radiator are clogged. The whole AIO would have to be emptied, flushed once with a cleaning kit and refilled.
You can also use pure lemon powder as a cleaning agent and mix it with distilled water in a ratio of 1:20.
As I haven't had a GPX model in my hands for a very long time, you would have to check the radiator to see if it still has a filling opening at the end. You could then use this.

Ok fine. So i think this is good news!
I understand that I only have to buy a cleaning kit (« core loop cleaning liquid 100ml from alphacool » for example?), empty my GPX by opening the rad (using the same filling opening that i used to refill?), and clean it with the mixed cleaning solution/distilled water?

You can do it exactly as you have described. Unless there is something really strange hanging in the radiator, cleaning should be enough.
Don't dilute the cleaning kit too much, I think it was 1:10. You can also use it pure, but that would be a bit too little liquid. Alternatively, mix the pure citric acid in a ratio of 1:20. Please do not use any cleaning agents. The ingredients of many cleaning agents can attack O-rings or other materials in the radiator.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be enough.

If it's not enough, you should unscrew the base of the GPU cooler and take a look at the fins. And possibly clean them with a toothbrush.
