ES waterblock mounting on an Inno3D 5090 iChill Frostbite

The GPU coming along with a core waterblock doesn't contain "original screws and mounting spring", which is also missing in the accessory box of the ES waterblock. What specifications of heatsink buckle do I need to buy? Can I keep using the original metal backplate (should be cooler than the plastic carbon one)?

I also noticed that the pdf online was updated recently (the paper I got is v. 1.002 // 04.2025), changing the screws from M2x10mm to M2x8mm. Will it cause any problem using the longer screws?

With this backplate, meaning the frame around the GPU, you continue using the original frame that comes with the graphics card, along with the original screws that were used to secure this module.
Regarding the screw changes in the current manual, that only applied to an adjustment for the MSI Ventus, which also follows the reference design. However, there was another issue there. These adjustments do not affect the Inno3D card, so you can ignore them.

Thanks, Eddy, just to be sure — if I keep the original Inno3D backplate and screws as you suggest, there won’t be any risk of uneven mounting pressure or clearance issues with the ES waterblock?
That is correct. This small backplate with the 4 screws is meant to be reused from the original cooler. That is exactly how we intended it.
