Gigabyte R9700 waterblock support

I was wondering if the to be release R9700 Waterblock that is targeted at reference design cards from ASrock and Powercolor will also be suitable for the Gigabyte R9700 that seems to use a different board design (i understood it is closer to the 9070 reference design?)

Hi Eddy, thanks for the reaction this thread https://forum.alphacool.com/threads...k-for-amd-ai-pro-r9700.9809/page-4#post-40941 mentioned a user that submitted pictures of the front and back of the Gigabyte PCB and mentioned it was longer and had an extra mounting hole and the fan connector was located differently, did the team have a chance to check these photos and verify the block would potentially fit? I assume making it fit would require an extra cut out for the fan connector if the GPU, Ram and vrm/caps locations are similar to the reference design.
The remark that the Gigabyte pcb has a closer resemblance to the 9070 reference pcb made me uncertain if there is a chance the new to be released block would fit.
