GPU water cooling to save space

After success in water cooling my CPU with an external eisbaer extreme, I'm wondering whether do to the same with my GPU (Gainward 4090 Phantom). The GPU is huge, and I'm limited to only be able to fit one in my chassis.

The issue that I have is that chassis is narrow, and the GPU only fits with about 1-2mm to spare. Will watercooling increase the width of the card?

Thanks.

Since the water cooling connections are on the side, the whole thing is wider, yes. You can find the corresponding dimensions on the respective cooler.

I assumed that was the case, it's a shame the connections are not on the top.
