GPU waterblock direction of flow

I need help with the ports to use for inlet/outlet in order to get the optimal cooling efficiency for your GPU waterblocks - specifically for the 9070 xt.
I suspect either of the two front ports should ideally be used as inlets, however it is not clearly stated in the documentation for the product.

Can you please state which of the two configurations is correct?

Configuration 1 (orange or blue direction of flow)

Configuration 2 (red or green direction of flow)

Thank you!

The top image is correct. The port that is closer to the monitor outputs is always the IN.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re connecting from the front side or the backplate side—the port closer to the I/O shield or display connectors is always the inlet, and the one farther away is always the outlet.

Many thanks for your reply!

That is what I assumed, however it is great to have it verified.
