Hard line tube alternative

Hi,

New to the forum and great to see all the knowledge on these pages.

I’ve taken the plunge to build a hardline open loop system. Just looking at the works of art has offered lots of inspiration although I’m unsure of what clear tubing material to use. From reading about various builds it appears that the clear hardline tube options are typically acrylic and PETG. The negative for acrylic is that it’s relatively brittle compared to PETG but PETG starts to soften at around 60 degrees C, which water temps get up/close to. Wondered if anyone has used polycarbonate tubing? It offers higher impact resistance, strength and thermal stability compared to PETG so not sure why more people don’t use it?

Thanks.
