help with mounting of core ocean t38 420mm

i decided to get a core ocean t38 as it was on sale for 60 euro, to cool my 7980xe. however i havent managed to properly install the lga 2066 mounting bracket on the block, ive tried for hours, so much that the bracket seems dented(?)

i havent used any tools and the guide's two pictures werent very much help. is there a specific tool im supposed to use? as the brackets don't seem to mesh together properly.

i also shot a support message to alphacool about this but i havent heard back yet

If you’ve already contacted support, they will take care of it. I would have referred you to support here as well. Because you can’t really do anything wrong when using the bracket. And what can be seen in the pictures definitely doesn’t look right.
