Hello,

I would like to know if my cooler is working withing the correct specifications ?
My card is a RTX 3090 INNO3D ichill x4.
I am reaching up to 100c on the hotspot while in game and I have pushed the rad fans to their maximum speed :

I have bought this card used and the seller sold it with the cooler already installed.
Should I look into ordering new pads and reinstalling it myself ? Or are those the expected temperatures for this AIO/card combo ?
Thank you in advance for you help.

HI,

this is far to high. Did you check if the pump is running with 12V or 100PWM? If yes, can you please tell us the RPM of the pump?
Did you also check if the water block has been clogged with algae and bacteria? Depending on how old the system is and if the previously owner maintanance his system it can be that algae and bacteria has been grown with are stuck in the fine cooling fins.

Hello Vanzin,
Thank you for your reply.
The pump is plugged in to the AIO_PUMP header on my MB which the manuel says is 12V :

The pump is showing around 2600 RPM in the BIOS, same during use :

However, the inside of the AIO does looks a bit nasty (see attached photos). But the fins them-self seems to be fine ?

The colour of the water looks opaque but i guessed it was some sort of dye the previous owner used ? Or is that algae/bacteria ?
The system was flipped on it's side for the pictures, hence the visible bubbles.

HI,

Thanks for the photos but this water block is completely clogged. Here you should clean the whole system.

I see, could you instruct me what product I would need to buy to clean the loop?
The previous owner did not provide any documentation with the aio.

Is flushing the loop with distilled water, cleaning inside the block with a soft toothbrush and then filling the loop back up with coolant all the steps i need to do ?

If yes, I am unsure on how much distilled water and coolant i would need to clean and refill the loop, could you indicate the amount that is usually required ?

Little update for anyone who finds this post.
I opened the AIO to clean everything inside, I followed this reddit thread to open it : https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/iohpwe
You'll need a heatgun or hairdryer to pop open the plastic bit that covers the screws to open the waterblock.
the rest is pretty straight forward, flushed the loop with distilled water to get rid of all the debris/gunk, idk what the previous owner put inside but it was bad :

Gained around 20c overall and 35c on hotspot :
