Is Liquid Cooling a Viable Option for Laptop GPUs?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing pretty high temperatures on my laptop GPU during intensive gaming and creative workloads. I know liquid cooling is common for desktops, but I’m curious — is liquid cooling a viable option for laptop GPUs?

Has anyone here tried using external or custom liquid cooling solutions for their laptop, especially with Alphacool components? I’m aware of some external cooling docks and mods, but I'm unsure how effective or safe they are in the long run.

Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or any setup recommendations. Is it worth the effort, or should I stick with high-end cooling pads and better airflow?

Thanks in advance!

We do not offer solutions for notebooks. We do offer external cooling solutions, but the much bigger problem is the coolers that would need to be installed inside the notebook. These coolers would have to be custom-designed. Additionally, the water needs to be routed out of the notebook and back in again.
This is far from a simple task. Custom-made solutions would cost several thousand euros, and we do not undertake such projects.

You would need a huge laptop housing for all the tubes/hoses - and this housing should be partly empty to provide enough space. I don't know any laptop fulfilling such needs.
