Is this bend normal?

I have a few Titan RTXes with GPX-N Acetal blocks mounted to them. They all seem to have some significant bending around the memory. Is this normal? It looks like perhaps the thermal pads supplied with the block may be too thick?

Yes, that is normal. The radiator must generate a good contact pressure. That's why the whole thing bends a bit. A backplate would create counterpressure, then the bending would not be quite so strong. But I don't have a backplate on my current private cards either and they look just as bent.
