Alphacool today introduces the Apex aluminium backplate. The backplate is designed specifically for Intel's LGA 1700 socket to optimise the cooling performance of Alphacool's Eisbaer AIOs and XPX CPU coolers.
The backplate replaces the standard Intel CPU mount on the back of the mainboard and prevents the LGA 1700 socket from bending when mounting the cooler. This serves to protect the mainboard and enables an even and perfect contact pressure for all Alphacool XPX CPU water coolers, Eisbaer AIOs and their Solo variants. All in all, this leads to a significant improvement in cooling performance.
