NexXxoS XT45 420 V2 vs NexXxoS HPE45 420

Hi, I'm looking for feedback on what is the difference between NexXxoS XT45 420 V2 and NexXxoS HPE45 420 radiators. I bought what I thought was HPE version second hand (for a very good price like new condition, never used) and I received XT V2 version (it's called like that on the box). Was I scammed? I don't see V2 version for XT for 420 size on the product list.

Additional information, radiator that I got does have 14 channels, which is one of the differences between xt and hpe (12 vs 14).

HI,

you can check it simply with the EAN code or when looking on the radiator. The HPE Series, has also a blue or grey HPE print on the side panel.

HPE has 2 more water channels. This means they have a higher flow rate. However, this also means that the fins are somewhat closer together without increasing the FPI. You need a little more pressure from the fans. But if you have reasonably usable ones, there are only minor differences in terms of performance. This is quite overrated.
The 420 is available as normal, as V.2 and as HPE. Whereby V.2 and HPE look the same on the outside.

The one I got has 14 channels, 2 more that XT should have from what I understand. Do you have a link for V2 product page? I don't see it listed, only XT and HPE. The ean code I have is for XT45 420 V2, so between V2 and HPE, what are the main differences? Is V2 less restrictive for airflow?

Some radiators are currently going EOL. V.2 goes EOL only the normal ones and the HPE will remain.
You're going too crazy about the air resistance. In the end, it doesn't matter whether you have more channels or a higher air resistance. Because the performance will be almost identical in the end.

I'm not worried about the resistance, and overall performance, the build I have in mind will have two 420mm 45mm rads, maybe even with push pull, so I will have more than enough cooling. And I have good high pressure fans. I'm just trying to understand what I have. Can you confirm that V2 had 14 channels?

HI,

Only the HPE radiators have 16 Channels (140mm Fan Version). All other radiators have only 12 Channels. You can also check it on the side panel, as I told you. If there is HPE written, it is a HPE radiator. IF there is nothing written you have a XT45 radiator. THe XT45 radiators were never offered as V2 Version. You can also check it with the part, where the fittings are mounted. The HPE Version is it straight and the XT45 Version is curved.
